What an autoreg is and when it makes sense

An autoreg is a freshly registered Facebook account with no activity history behind it. It has not been warmed up, it has no age on it, and it has never been through an ad review of any kind. What you are buying is a disposable asset: accounts like this are taken in batches for launching campaign setups, for warm-up, for creative tests and for running traffic — the kind of work where losing part of the batch is already priced into the economics.

The logic behind that is simple. An account with history costs several times more and it does live longer, but if the campaign setup has not been proven yet, it is too early to be paying for age. You validate the offer, the creatives and the approach on cheap accounts first, and only once the setup has shown a result do you move over to farmed or ZRD accounts.

Autoregs are the wrong tool wherever you need a reserve of trust from the very first day: large budgets straight away, a BM with high limits, a long run without replacements. That is what farmed accounts and accounts that have already cleared ZRD (ad activity restriction) are there for.

How autoregs differ from farmed and ZRD accounts

The three categories solve three different jobs, and mixing them up is an expensive mistake.

Autoreg — zero history, minimum price, maximum churn. This is the instrument you reach for when you are testing hypotheses.

Farmed — an account whose activity has been built up by hand: follows, a feed, interactions, time spent alive. It costs more, but it takes load noticeably more calmly than an autoreg does.

ZRD — an account that has already been through an ad activity restriction and has been recovered afterwards. Its value is that the most common drop-off point was passed before the account ever reached you.

The choice here is dictated not by your budget but by the stage you are at: testing means an autoreg, scaling means a farmed or a ZRD account.

UA or USA: which geo to take

The geo of the account should match the logic of the campaign setup, rather than the geography of the offer taken literally.

UA is cheaper, and it suits tests, warm-up and work across the CIS. This is the workhorse of the category: you validate the approach on it without overpaying for the region.

USA costs more, but it opens up audiences with more expensive traffic and it behaves differently in moderation. It is taken for launches on Western geos, where a UA account looks out of place.

If you are unsure which of the two to take, start with UA. The difference in price lets you test a campaign setup across a larger number of accounts, and at the stage where you are still searching, that counts for more than the geo does.

What comes with the account

Every account is handed over with a full set of access, not with a single login and password pair:

• email with access — you can go through the confirmations and the recovery yourself;
• two-factor authentication — the key is issued together with the account;
• EAABs token — for working through the API and for automation;
• cookies in JSON format — for logging in through an antidetect browser without extra checks.

Some of the listings additionally have a filled-in profile, an attached Fan Page or a phone number that has been detached — the exact contents are always stated in the description of the product.

What extends the life of an autoreg

An account does not die on its own, it dies from abrupt actions taken in the first few hours. Here is what actually works:

A proxy for every account. One account, one IP, and keep it stable. Logins from different addresses, and from shared server subnets in particular, are the ones that get flagged fastest of all. Mobile proxies are what you take for this.

An antidetect browser instead of a regular one. The cookies and the token come with the account precisely so that the login looks like the continuation of an existing session rather than a new device.

A pause before you act. An account that creates an ad account a minute after its very first login stands out from a live person far too clearly.

A gradual budget. A sharp start with a large sum is the single most common way to lose an account along with the money sitting on it.

None of these techniques gives you a guarantee: Facebook changes its rules more often than the guides to them come out. Taken together, though, they shift the statistics noticeably in your favor.

How many to take

Count launches, not accounts. A single test of a campaign setup burns through several accounts: some of them will drop at the ad account registration stage, some on the first run. Buying one at a time almost always works out more expensive in the end — the time you spend topping the batch up is worth more than the difference in price.
